The Natty Knit Club Christmas Party!

December 18th is our Christmas knit club meeting! So here's the details!

First- We are going to have a cookie contest! And there will be a $50 grand prize for the winner! To enter into the contest you must make 2 dozen of your best cookie or bar recipe (no brownies please) and it must be entered in no later than 1 pm. The contest starts at 1:30 pm and you must be there to accept the prize. The judges will be judging on appearance, how different it is, how it tastes, and texture. Don't miss out on winning $50!

Second- There will be a drawling every hour for christmas gifts! When you show up you will be given a ticket to enter in the drawling. The only rule is, you have to be present to receive your gift when we drawl.

Third- There will be a silent auction for a beautiful crystal bowl. There will be a sheet of paper out for those who want to participate. The auction for the bowl will start at $10. The silent auction will end at 2:30 pm. The money will go towards building the yarn shop again.

Fourth- Our chef Kim C. will be making a shepherd's pie for lunch. She will be serving lunch at 11:30 pm. First come, first serve!

Remember there is a $5 club fee when you come. This helps us to do the fun things we do. What you put into this club is what you'll get out of it. Also part of the funds goes towards building the yarn shop again. Please RSVP so we can prepare for who's coming. You can RSVP by leaving a comment down below or texting me if you have my number. Hope to see you!

Our Thanksgiving Club Meeting

Sorry for the delay in updating this blog to all of you who've been anxiously waiting to see our last meeting. Our November club meeting was a success! All who showed up were glad they did! There were fourteen of us altogether.
It was perfect knitting weather! A cool rainy day, which hasn't been very common this year in sunny California. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving layout! Our main course was created by chef Kim Cook. She made a cream of turkey soup which she served on top of fluffy herbed stuffing with a dollop of cranberry sauce. Some brought desserts to share. We had cranberry orange muffins, pumpkin raisin nut bread, pumpkin squares with a spice cake crumble topping and whip cream, and an assortment of cookies. And I am so grateful Tracy brought a vegetable tray to snack on so I could feel better about eating so much sugar. So here's some things that happened at the meeting:

Amanda won the drawling for the knitting carry-along kit!
Juliette finished her hat! Can't wait to see it felted!
Lisa is knitting!!
Cheyenne has grown soo tall!
Little Sarah is knitting a hat.
Sarah T. finally finished her 3 year long scarf project!
Kim K. started a new scarf.
Mariana brought her finished knitted bunny. (You can see her holding it in the picture.)
My mom started some knitted arm warmers.
Rose is starting a new crochet doll.
And Monica started some fingerless gloves and finished them!

I am so glad everyone had a good time! There are more pictures that I will post once I get them from Amanda. Now, mark your calendars for our Christmas Party club meeting on December 18th. I am going to post more details about it soon. I love all you guys and I hope to see you at the next club meeting!
